The first two issues were on the black and gold design label and the first yellow & black issue lacked the 'Recording First Published' text & retained the small '33 1/3' after the matrix number of the first two pressings. The second yellow & black removed the small '33 1/3' print.
This is therefore technically the fifth issue, still from 1963 and still with matrix numbers ending -1.

The labels:

Black and Yellow Parlophone in design with 'The Parlophone Co Ltd' perimeter & 'Recording First Published' label text.
As this is a 1963 pressing there is no 'Sold in the UK' text across the centre of the label. The labels have some light spindle wear to reveal play evident but remain bright and clean.

The Sleeve:

The G&L front laminated flipback picture sleeve has the large block 'mono' logo on the front. The sleeve overall benefits from crisp clean laminate & rich colours, whilst all text is clearly legible, including the spine. There are no tears whilst there is a little light discolouration to the unlaminated back and edges. The previous owner had carefully signed their name just below the top flipback; overall it grades as a nice VG.

Vinyl:

The vinyl itself, although obviously played, remains nice & clean & in VG condition, with just a few paper scuffs or spindle marks to show for its 50+ years & certainly very little interference with playback.



An iconic classic from the Fabs that should be in everyone's record collection, this is a great chance to own a perfectly respectable, if not perfect, copy of this elusive fifth pressing at an advantageous price!
