This legendary single was released on 5th October 1962 and that band of outsiders were off on their journey that would eventuallylead them to conquer the world. Within a week the single entered the UK chart at 49 and it was eventually to go as high as 17 while spending 18 weeks on the chart. The audio is taken from the mono remaster of 2009 to ensure highest quality playback and this is also the corrected edition, with a Parlophone in silver on the label [the withdrawn pressing had 'Parlophone' in Grey & the incorrect Andy White version on the A-side] but still has 45-R4714 as the B Side catalogue number which was actually for a Matt Monro single!
