Weaned on blues records and turned onto even more by the cavalcade of rock legends he met, he has eclectic taste and can spin a good bluesy yarn. Since the heady days of the Crowes at their peak, the band dissolved and finally come back together last year. Chris Robinson has also stepped out in his own right with the wonderfully named New Earth Mud whoselive repertoire stretched out to include the emotive Jimmie Rodgers classic 'Blue Yodel [T for Texas]'. Undoubtedly, the singer is a man inspired and, this collection is just some of his inspiration.)
