VARIOUS A Perfumed Garden Volume 1 (2002 UK 17-track CD album - back in the early 80s, along with the 'Rubble' and 'Chocolate Soup' series, 'Perfumed Garden' was one of the first comps to tackle obscure and rare 60s UK psych & freakbeat [as opposed to the US garage being mined by 'Pebbles', 'Boulders', 'Mindrockers' etc]; Volume 1 is packed with gems such as The Factory's 2nd single from '69, 'Try A Little Sunshine', The Syn's 'Grounded' [featuring a pre-Yes Chris Squire] from 1967 andThe Game's pop-art masterpiece 'It's Shocking What They Call Me', plus 3 bonus recordings including the £1000-rated 'Vacuum Cleaner' from Tintern Abbey!)
