QUEEN Ultimate Queen (Rare 1995 UK limited edition box set, comprising Twenty CD albums each pressed on exclusive Gold-coloured discs, issued only as part of this deluxe collection and unavailable separately at the time. Each disc is housed in a paper sleeve, with the complete run presented inside a superbly crafted glazed, individually numbered presentation box. Also included is the original glossy gold-embossed 16-page booklet, packed with band history and striking imagery, plus the often-missing fixing instruction sheet. This example appears to have been treasured, with all twenty discs still factory sealed in their original paper envelopes, confirming that the set has never been played. Regrettably, as is almost universally the case with this edition, the Freddie holographic image has succumbed to the usual surface corrosion and degradation, an unavoidable consequence of the production method and storage over time. Aside from this anomaly, the case/frame, contents and discs all remain in Excellent condition, showing only minor signs of age. A highly desirable and beautifully presented piece of Queen history, and a genuine centrepiece for any serious collection – these sets are becoming increasingly scarce! QUEENBOX20)
