WARZONE Lower East Side Crew EP (Incredibly rare US 1988
Third Pressing 7-track 7" vinyl EP, with black and
white picture sleeve that has the band logo underlined, fold
out insert and silver and black labels, limited to 1000
copies pressed. Originally released in 1987, this EP put
hardcore punk, hardcore skinhead, and youth crew to the
forefront of the NYC punk movement of the '80s. With the
incomparable Raymond 'Raybeez' Barbieri on the mic, he
channelled the frustration and turmoil of growing up in the
shadows of the city so nice they named it twice. Released by
then brand new label, Revelation Records, who would go on to
be the go-to hardcore label in the years that followed, this
third pressing is also the first time the 'new' Revelation logo
that is still used to this day would appear on the centre label.
On to the condition of this historical record, the sleeve is
strictly graded as VG, with some creasing and a few minor
folds, but has survived for over 30 years in the wild incredibly
well. The vinyl, unbelievably has little to no evidence of play,
with only one or two hairlines visible and is graded Excellent.
This is first time we have been able to offer this EP for sale,
and may well be the only time we ever see one here so
finding it in any condition is nothing short of impressive. The
importance of this release can never be understated, and
deserves a place in any real hardcore or punk collection)
