ERNEST RANGLIN TRIO Wranglin' (Archive Quality 1964 UK first press 6-track mono LP by the Jamaican Jazz guitar legend, Ernest's first album for Island Records, beautifully captured at the famous Ronnie Scott's Club in London with backing from the late Malcolm Cecil on bass & Alan Ganley on drums. This was released the same year Ernest received credit for his arrangement on Millie Small's hit version of 'My Boy Lollipop' & whilst Malcolm Cecil was in the London Jazz/Mod groups with Dick Morrissey & Alexis Korner [long before he sculpted the sound for Stevie Wonder with TONTO]. This is a really nice one previous owner copy. The picture sleeve is in Excellent condition with clean panels, secure flipbacks & a little natural ageing mostly around the edges of the laminate. The heavyweight vinyl is Excellent to Near Mint with just the odd spindle mark & very faint cosmetic signs of its vintage. As good as it gets! ILP909)
