ORNETTE COLEMAN DOUBLE QUARTET Free Jazz (70s US stereo issue of the 1961 LP on a green & orange Atlantic label, a milestone in spontaneous group improvisation [still controversial among jazz fans!] using two separate quartets panned side of the spectrum. Musicians include Donald Cherry, Scott LaFaro & Billy Higgins on the left channel & Eric Dolphy, Freddie Hubbard, Charlie Haden & Ed Blackwell on the right, housed in a non-die-cut gatefold sleeve with Jackson Pollock artwork inside. The sleeve is Excellent with a few minor spots of light foxing & the vinyl still looks barely played SD1364)
