DOROTHY ASHBY The Fantastic Jazz Harp Of Dorothy Ashby (1965 UK 10-track deep groove mono LP - sublime meditations & beats with closely mic'ed string harp work from Dorothy to the fore, with backing from bassist Richard Davis, drummer Grady Tate, percussionist Willie Bobo & a sporadic horn section - pure magic! Dorothy would later go one better in her career, belting out funky rare groove favourites like 'Soul Vibrations' & 'The Moving Finger'. The front laminated flipback picture sleeve is Excellent [small catalogue sticker on rear] with just a tiny thumbnail split in the back opening. The vinyl is Near Mint ATL5047)
