SONNY BOY WILLIAMSON Down & Out Blues (Debut 1964 UK 12-track mono LP, now firmly placed in the Blues Hall Of Fame. Includes the early Checker singles, Don't Start Me To Talkin' [Sonny's classic first recording] & Dissatisfied, with backing from the likes of Muddy Waters, Otis Spann & Willie Dixon & with Don Bronstein's sombre photography of a dishevelled homeless man on the cover, Sonny died just a year after it was released. The front laminated flipback sleeve shows a little light age wear & some faint laminate creases whilst the heavyweight vinyl remains in Excellent condition, revealing a few spindle marks & the odd faint paper hairline not affecting play NPL28036)
