VARIOUS ARTISTS Calypso Carnival Vol. 1 (1950s UK 8-track 10" vinyl compilation on the Melodisc label, a wonderful early collection of Jamaican treasures which includes tracks by Lord Kitchener, The Lion, Little Nora, The Charmer, The Mighty Terror and others, fully laminated flipback picture sleeve with charming front artwork. The sleeve still has the vintage price sticker attatched and shows only light wear to the front; the reverse top flipback has become torn in three places withthe extreme 3" now missing, the other sections have been re-glued, although there is still some discolouration from the previous tape repair, whilst the text is all legible and the rest of the sleeve is free from seam splits. The vinyl has light wear & scuffs leaving it VG, although playback confirms only light ambient sound. A nice copy of this early compilation MLP507)
