JOHN LEE HOOKER Burning Hell (Very Rare 1964 UK first press 12-track mono LP on the rough textured blue & silver 'reel & mic' label, recorded on April 20, 1959. This Country Blues classic features Hooker putting his distinct stamp on songs associated with Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf [Smokestack Lightnin'], Lightnin' Hopkins & Big Bill Broonzy, pasted laminate picture sleeve. This is a Philips pressing with 1L/2L machine stamped in the run-outs along with the '620' pressing plant number. The heavyweight sleeve appears Near Mint with nice clean panels & no writing or splits. The vinyl is Excellent & has been professionally cleaned & play tested - the sound stage is exceptional. The vinyl shows some faint cosmetic wear from the original poly bag which does not affect play & otherwise there are just a couple of minor spindle marks on the labels. Recommended RLP008)
