MARTI CAINE Point Of View (Highly sought after 1981 UK 10-track vinyl LP, picture sleeve. Mostly remembered for her appearances on numerous light entertainment shows throughout the '70s, Marti Caine was also in possession of an incredible voice. This long player recorded for BBC Records sunk without trace at the time, but its sumptuous slo-mo disco arrangements courtesy of British R&B royalty Barry Blue [Heatwave, Cry Sisco and cult underground dance fave Javaroo] has made this album something of a crate-diggers delight. Its key track is the sublime electro soul/funk of Love The Way You Love Me but that's not all, there's dark 'n' dubby disco on Snowbird City, disco-sleaze on Can I Speak To The World Please and a wonderful moody ballad in the shape of Love Is Running Through Me - all this and Marti cavorting with a stuffed tiger on the sleeve, what more do you need! The sleeve shows very little wear and the vinyl appears barely played - so...as Marti might say, press your buttons now!
