THE VALENTINOS Sweeter Than The Day Before (Monster rare 1968 US 7" single with wide centre, die-cut company sleeve. Some soul aficionados cite this as one of THE greatest Northen Soul singles and who are we to argue! Written by Mary Wells and Cecil Womack, its heartfelt vocals and relentless four-to-the-floor groove made this a Wigan Casino classic. Incredibly, it's backed with another soul groover, Let's Get Together. The company sleeve is showing a little wear but the vinyl is graded as Excellent with just the odd faint hairline to indicate play - highly recommended)
