THE BLUE MITCHELL QUINTET Down With It (Rare 1965 US first press 6-track mono LP on the 'New York' address Blue Note label, with the 'Van Gelder' stamp & 'ear' etchings in both run-outs. Also stars Junior Cook [tenor sax], Chick Corea [piano],Gene Taylor [bass] & Al Foster [drums], heavy pasted picture sleeve with catalogue inner. The cover [VG] is tape reinforced along the top edge due to a split & there are a few paper splits in the other corners in addition. The back panel hasthe original import stickers attached with a tiny number annotation top right. The vinyl has been professionally cleaned & grades VG+/EX- sounding absolutely fantastic. Visually, there is light cosmetic wear including some paper scuffs & spindle marks not upsetting the classic Blue Note sound, always best experienced on these earliest pressings BLP4214)
