STEVE LACY Shots (Sealed 1977 French 8-track vinyl LP, recorded at the Studios Grande Armee in Paris on October 15 1977. The album ends on a very experimental track called 'The Wire' [which gave name to a certain experimental music rag in London that is still in print to this day], with Masa Kwate on traditional Japanese percussion. Note, this record received the Grand Prix De L'Académie Du Jazz prize in 1980 & is stickered to this effect on the front of the picture sleeve, which incidentally was designed by Brion Gysin! This collector's copy is sealed & remains mint & unplayed)
