SCREAMIN' JAY HAWKINS The Night & Day Of (Extremely Rare 1966 UK 12-track MONO vinyl LP - This is Screamin' Jay's second album recorded in the UK in 1965 and released only in Britain on the short-lived label Planet Records, founded by producer Shel Talmy. Screamin' Jay's vocals have a menacing undertone and theatrical delivery like no one else. Expect spooky organ solos & creepy cob-web atmospheres in amongst the Mod Soul groovers. The unique front-laminated flipback picture sleeve appears Excellent on first glance but grades VG due to discolouring to the back panel, not upsetting the print. All text is legible, there are no tears or writing and the spine is clear. The vinyl has been professionally cleaned and grades EX/EX- with just minor cosmetic signs of play. A necessary purchase!
