DOROTHY ASHBY The Fantastic Jazz Harp Of Dorothy Ashby (One-off Test Pressing for the 1965 UK 10-track MONO LP - absolutely sublime meditations & beats with closely mic'ed string harp work from Dorothy to the fore, with backing from bassist Richard Davis, drummer Grady Tate, percussionist Willie Bobo, & a sporadic horn section - pure magic! Dorothy would later go one better in her career, belting out funky rare groove favourites like 'Soul Vibrations' & 'The Moving Finger'. The custom studio labels have 'Factory Sample' printed at the top & are annotated with the artist, title, matrix & catalogue detail, complete with the front laminated flipback picture sleeve. The sleeve grades VG+ with just a little light corner creasing from ring wear & no writing or tears, & is a nice off white. The vinyl is Excellent with merely the lightest evidence of play.
