DUKE ELLINGTON Ellington At Fargo Vol. 1 & 2 (Rare 60s UK limited edition 2-LP set, documenting Ellington's concert at a North Dakota Agricultural College dance at the Crystal Ballroom in Fargo, N.D. on November 7, 1940, recorded on then-state-of-the-art equipment by Richard Burris & Jack Towers - this long-lost recording won a Grammy forty years later for best jazz instrumental performance. Both parts are housed in unique, fully textured & stickered title sleeves, annotated & pasted by hand with the tracklist & a few helpful notes by a keen Ellington fan. The delicate covers show just a little scuffing & mild corner creasing whilst both heavyweight vinyl discs are Excellent with few signs of play M-551/2)
