GENE ROLAND Swingin' Friends! (1963 US 10-track mono LP on a black & yellow Brunswick label, the solo debut by the Jazz trumpeter, bandleader, composer & arranger, who writes here for his star players; Al Cohn, Zoot Sims, Clark Terry, John Bunch, Jimmy Knepper, Snooky Young & Sol Gubin. The pasted picture sleeve has no seam splits or writing & the colours are rich, vivid & all text is legible. The vinyl is clean & grades a healthy VG, with just a few faint hairlines or light marks inthe odd spot which have little to no effect on play BL54114)
