Babylon - The Original Soundtrack - Test Pressing

VARIOUS-REGGAE & SKA Babylon (Very rare Test Pressing for the 1980 UK 10-track LP, featuring the music from the soundtrack to the classic movie, co-written by Martin Stellman [writer of Quadrophenia] & Franco Rosso, & filmed on the streets of Deptford & Brixton with a young Brinsley Forde of Aswad. Artists include Aswad, Dennis Bovell, Yabby U, I-Roy & more. The labels are numbered '1' & '2' in custom black on white & the matrix detail is machine stamped in the run-outs "CHR1294 A/1 & B/2" with the word 'Tone' engraved. Obtained from the private collection of an ex-PR man for Chrysalis, these were pressed in a miniscule run purely to test the sonics & never intended for sale to the general public.
