VOIVOD War & Pain (1984 Dutch 9-track LP, the blazing debut by Canada's Nuclear Metal warriors, who specialised in shifting time signatures, dissonant guitars & lyrical themes influenced by post-apocalyptic literature, cold war politics & sciencefiction. This straight Thrash-er is where it all began! Lineup: Snake - Vocals [Throat Insults. Screaming. Mike Torture], Piggy - Guitar [Burning Metal Axe], Blacky - Bass [Blower Bass] & Away - Drums [Thunder Machine]. 'Away' also did all the incredible concept cover art throughout Voivod's career. The sleeve is still in open shrink, which although worn, has kept the cover in stunning condition. Complete with lyric inner, the vinyl is a nice EX/EX- with just light signs of play RR9825)
