666 - Spaceship

APHRODITE'S CHILD 666 (70s UK 'spaceship' label issue of the 1972 24-track double LP, combining Psychedelia, Prog Rock & biblical passages from John 13-18. Vangelis has stated that the album was apparently created under the influence of Sahlep, a Turkish flour consumed in beverages or deserts. This, coupled with its 'Number Of The Beast' album title, was misinterpreted by fundamentalist Christians as perhaps a drug, a demon, or even a black magic sect, not infact a Turkish delicacy! The front laminated gatefold sleeve has a small seam split to the top & bottom, whilst both vinyl discs remains excellent with little sign of play)
