GEORG SOLTI conducts THE VIENNA PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA Piano Concerto No. 1 (One-sided Test Pressing for the 1959 UK stereo LP, featuring the first movement only of the Tchaikovsky piece starring Clifford Curzon. This is the earliest example of this SXL rarity on vinyl, with side two left blank. The catalogue, artist & title are faintly stamped one side of the studio label with 'Not For Sale' Factory Sample print & 'ZAL 4320-2E' matrix detail. The vinyl is clean & the dynamic rangeis stunning. There is a little faint surface which can be heard during the build up of the piece & a minor paper scuff visible not affecting play. Otherwise this is an Excellent example & a Decca rarity that was never intended for the general public! SXL2114)
