JEANNE DEMESSIEUX César Franck: Organ Works (1969 UK pair of stereo LPs featuring both volumes of the series recorded at the Organ of the Church of the Madeleine in Paris, issued as a tribute to the remarkable woman who had died in November the previous year. This amazing artist knew more than 2,500 works by heart, including the complete organ works of Bach, Franck, Liszt, and Mendelssohn, as well as most of Dupré's compositions for the instrument, so was able to impart a personaldelivery to the compositions rather than merely reciting them from stave. The front laminated picture sleeves show just a bit of edge scuffing with very little general shelfwear & the vinyl remains in excellent condition with few signs of play SDD202/3)
