This is outwardly the regular 1977 UK 25-track compilation double vinyl LP in gatefold faux leather design smooth picture sleeve. What makes this copy very different is that both of the inners have been stamped in red: 'PARLOPHONE Trade Mark of The Gramophone Company Ltd.' & both labels have been stickered 'Trade Mark of The Gramophone Company Ltd.' in blue. The only conclusion we can come to regarding thismystery is that this LP was intended to be exported to a country in which Parlophone was not a separate trading entity, for example, India. In fact, India did press their own copies on the black & yellow Parlophone label but with the additional 'Trade Mark of The Gramophone Company Ltd.' text on the labels, giving a clue as to the purpose of this unusual item. The sleeve itself shows a few scuffs & a little edge wear but the vinyl remains near 'as new' PCSP721)
