CECIL TAYLOR Unit Structures (70s issue of the 1967 US 'A Division Of United Artists' label 4-track stereo LP. Cecil's first album on Blue Note, bringing the cutting edge avant-garde to the label. This is an incredible septet outing alongside Eddie Gale Stevens Jr. [trumpet], Jimmy Lyons [alto sax], Ken Mcintyre [alto sax, oboe, bass clarinet], Andrew Cyrille [drums], Henry Grimes and Alan Silva alternating on bass, recorded by Rudy Van Gelder. The pasted picture sleeve shows justa little light shelfwear with minor edge scuffing & the vinyl remains excellent with little sign of play BST84237)
