This is arguably the greatest recording of Albéniz's masterpiece in its complete form, highly praised by Claude Debussy and Olivier Messiaen, who said: "Iberia is the wonder for the piano; it is perhaps on the highest place among the more brilliant pieces for the king of instruments". This record has been preciously stored & looked after by one previous owner all its life & remains in superb condition.

The gatefold sleeve is front laminated with internal flipbacks & the print is bright, vivid & still clearly legible. This issue is now over half a century old, so a little scuffing & lifting to the laminate at the edges can be forgiven. Again, there is a little ring wear on the back but this not excessive. Sleeve wise, this is a very presentable VG+/EX- example.

Both vinyl discs have been professionally cleaned & have come up looking sparkling. There is very little evidence of play at all & certainly no scratches or any wear to the grooves. When held to the light we have no doubts over the condition, both discs easily reach an EX+ grade.

Highly recommended - we don't often see records in this condition & this rare issue is a first for us!
