DISCO DUB BAND For The Love Of Money (1976 UK 4-prong centre 7" single on the Movers label, distributed by Island. This is a seminal slice of early dub disco (a style later pioneered by the likes of Arthur Russell and Larry Levan) produced and arranged by Davitt Sigerson (who later signed to Ze Records) with an unknown reggae group from NYC. The tune is lifted from the Gamble & Huff number made famous by the O'Jays, and was later featured on the wonderful Spaced Out: 10 Original DiscoFunk Grooves compilation. The vinyl is in excellent- condition with just a few light surface marks with age. Killer! MO1)
