Tracklisting & More Information

Rare original 1976 Japanese 6-track vinyl LP, the breakthrough fourth studio album by the legendary Canadian progressive rock trio, featuring the epic 20-minute title track "2112" which occupies the entire first side, and includes live favourites such as "A Passage To Bangkok" and "Something For Nothing".

Housed in a deluxe gatefold picture sleeve with lyrics printed inside, and featuring the iconic "Starman" logo design by Hugh Syme. This edition comes complete with the original Japanese text insert including lyrics in both English and Japanese, plus the highly sought-after wide red 'obi-strip' with bold white kanji/katakana characters and promotional text.

The packaging and artwork are unique to this Japanese release (catalogue number RJ-7098, price ¥2,500 printed on the obi), issued by Mercury Records under license from Anthem/PolyGram. The obi features a vertical title, a sci-fi themed description, and the band's name in Japanese — a must-have detail for collectors of international pressings.

Condition:
The sleeve has only minimal wear, the obi is fully intact with no tears or writing and extremely clean. The vinyl is near mint, showing little to no signs of play.

Highly regarded as one of Rush’s finest moments and a cornerstone of progressive rock. First Japanese pressing copies like this, especially with a clean obi and insert, are becoming increasingly hard to find.
