JOHN SURMAN/ JOHN WARREN Tales Of The Algonquin (Rare 1971 UK red & white Deram label 9-track LP, the baritone saxophonist's last album for Deram comprised of a suite of five tracks, all played by a large stellar cast, with many expertly realised solos from some of the best British jazz modernists of the era, including Mike Osborne, Barre Phillips, Kenny Wheeler, Alan Skidmore & more. The picture sleeve [VG] has some edge scuffing & ring wear, yet the vinyl is exceptionally clean and remains Excellent with few signs of play, priced advantageously SML1094)
