BOB BROOKMEYER Jazz Is A Kick (1985 Japanese stereo issue of the 1960 8-track lp featuring the valve trombonist Bob Brookmeyer with the slide trombone of Curtis Fuller. Four songs use a modern rhythm section (pianist Wynton Kelly, bassist Paul Chambers and drummer Paul Motian) while the other four have a strong Count Basie feel (with trumpeters Thad Jones and Joe Newman, pianist Hank Jones, bassist Ed Jones and drummer Charlie Persip), complete with Japanese insert, picture sleeve reproducing the original album artwork & SJ-19801)
