OZZY OSBOURNE Blizzard Of Ozz Tour Poster (Rare 1980 UK tour poster for a bonafide piece of Ozzy, or in this case 'Ozzie' history featuring a concert that never happened prior to their cancelled appearance at Reading Festival where Slade played instead. A performance due to take place in the intimate Rotters of Manchester - a now demolished venue which generally hosted acts such as Dexy's and Madness but not rock royalty of this calibre. With a lineup consiting of legendary Randy Rhoads, Lee Kerslake and Bob Daisley for a gig that most would give their Granny for, and a rarity in that not only are artists listed [a first for Randy?] but all have mis-spelt names; possibly due to a telephone order to a hard-of-hearing printer! Another interesting note is that the promoter, Porterhouse Promotions, didn't promote the 1980 tour as Panda Artists duly took over. A poster like this is hard to come by and there is no denying its age, but if you want true rock & roll memorabilia then this is it! There are discoloured water marks to the paper [no bat blood, we've checked!] as well as tears to the right hand and bottom edges which have been repaired with tape on the reverse but fortunately they match up so a better repair could be made, and if you choose to display behind glass would flatten out considerably. Do not let these points put you off; if you want a piece of hard-to-find history that will provide a cracking display piece and talking point being that is as vintage as they come, then this is the uber-cool item for you!)
