ART PEPPER Sideman (1983 Japanese-only 7-track LP, drawing from a number of recordings for Yupiteru-Atlas that Pepper led in all but name due to being contracted to Galaxy at the time. The album includes 'Funny Blues' & 'Angel Eyes' from the Funk'n Fun [1979] album by the Bill Watrous Quintet, plus further sessions from albums with Pete Jolly [Strike Up The Band], Jack Sheldon [Angel Wings], Lee Konitz [High Jingo] & Shelly Manne [Hollywood Jam]. Complete with a fold-out illustrated booklet & 'West Coast Jazz Today' obi-strip, the picture sleeve shows minimal wear & the vinyl is Near Mint LA27-1023)
