ROLAND KIRK Kirk In Copenhagen (1964 UK 6-track MONO debut live LP on a 'rough' textured Mercury label, recorded in October 1963 at the Club Monmartre in Copenhagen, Denmark - Kirk was one of the most acclaimed jazz instrumentalists on the continent at the time, working here with a wonderfully integrated line-up; Spanish pianist [and fellow blind genius] Tete Montoliu, Niels-Henning Orsted Pedersen & Don Moore alternating on bass, drummer J.C. Moses and special guest harmonica player 'Big Skol' [aka Sonny Boy Williamson!]. The front laminated flip-back picture sleeve has a little light age yellowing to the unlaminated back and some laminate bubbling to the front while the vinyl has some light surface scuffs but remains in VG+/EX- condition MCL20021)
