Working with legendary Crescent City producer /writer Allen Toussaint, Dorsey typically offered good-time party tunes with a playful sense of humor and a loping, funky backbeat. This collection features his earlier Toussaint-produced sides, built around his Bell records album 'Ride Your Pony', along with a slew of 45 side and rarities. Backed by the legendary Meters, and packed with good humour and soul dancers, this is an amazing introduction to the work of one of the Crescent City's finest)
