VARIOUS One World Jazz (Scarce 1960 6-track LP that was the first ever to be recorded at different places & times by different people - seven musicians in New York, four in Paris, three in London & one in Stockholm. Being 1960, the master tapes had to be jetted around the world for this to happen, with the basic rhythm tracks being recorded in New York & various solo interpretations added as the tapes travelled around. Carefully orchestrated & controlled, the blends of style, pace & interpretation melt seamlessly together for this first ever global musical project. The front laminated flipback picture sleeve shows some light shelfwear with a little edge scuffing & some laminate split on the front, the vinyl too has just a couple of light surface marks to show for its nearly fifty years - a nice copy of this seldom seen album at a great price!
