The record acts as a primer on British Jazz of the early sixties, put together by Peter Burman originally intended for BBC broadcast. The recordings date from 1960-62 and include Johnny Scott's Study For Jazz Quintet [Suite In Three Movements] plus performances by The Pat Smythe Trio with Shake Keane, The Ray Premru Group and The Alan Clare Trio.
