JOY DIVISION Unknown Pleasures (2008 Japanese promotional sample issue of the limited edition 2-CD set comprising a 10-track digitally remastered CD album, issued to radio stations and reviewers ahead of the actual release - originally released in June 1979, 'Unknown Pleasures' was their outstanding debut album, recorded at Strawberry Studios in Stockport with producer Martin Hannett, who carefully sculpted their live sound into an eerie soundscape! Includes a BONUS CD featuring 12 tracks recorded live at the Factory in Manchester on 13th July 1979. Custom stamped inner rim on both discs superbly presented in fold-out digipak sleeve with Japanese/English lyric booklet, booklet with essay by Jon Savage plus unique promo stickered obi-strip still sealed in the original stickered resealable plastic sleeve WPCR-12838~9)
