RICK SPRINGFIELD The Early Sound City Sessions (2008 issue UK 11-track CD album - Rick Springfield is an Australian-American songwriter, musician and actor. As a musician he is most famous for the 1981 single 'Jessie's Girl', which became a Grammy Award-winning landmark of 1980s pop-rock and helped establish the emerging music video age. These sessions were recorded in 1978, before Rick's musical and television success, and includes the track, 'Bruce', a song about Rick lamenting the fact that his surname was similar to that of Bruce Springsteen and how people mistook him for Bruce. There's also a guest vocal appearance by Kim Carnes.)
