CHARLES MINGUS Portraits (60s UK WRC mail order repackaging of the 1959 4-track mono LP, part of a concert given in January, 1959, at the Nonagon Art Gallery in New York, starring Mingus on bass with John Handy [alto], Booker Ervin [tenor], Richard Wyands [piano] & Dannie Richmond [drums]; Jazz Portraits occupies a very worthy place in the series of remarkable LPs Mingus recorded. The front laminated flipback sleeve is a design variant & shows just a little minor creasing in the laminate. The vinyl remains in Excellent condition with only mild signs of play T663)
