BRYAN FERRY Extended Play (Incredibly rare original 1976 Metal Mother Positive for side one of the vinyl EP. These were the master moulds from which the negative stampers were created to press the vinyl & are a nickel alloy first generation positive taken from the first negative metal master peeled off of the original soft lacquer cut. What does all this technospeak mean ? Well, a stamper is a negative image & not playable, this is a POSITIVE image & IS playable. Instead of vinyl, this is a nickel alloy layer electroplated on to a brass 'blank' & is the first playable stage after the original master tape & soft lacquer. From these were made the stampers to press the vinyl. Needless to say, these are extremely rare as normally only up to four are made & they seldom leave the record plant library to hit the open market IEP1)** See More Info for further details ... **
