LOU DONALDSON Swing And Soul (2007 US exclusive limited edition 7-track LP pressed on 200gram QUIEX SUPER VINYL - Donaldson helped carry the torch from the post-bop era but gradually infused more blues & eventually what was to become soul-jazz into his playing. This June 1957 session was a distinct departure from his previous dates for Blue Note. Pianist Herman Foster and conga-player Ray Barretto are joined by drummer Dave Bailey and bassist Peck Morrison to completethe quintet! Presented in high quality pasted card sleeve, housed in sticker-sealed PVC bag)
