JOHN LEE HOOKER Get Back Home To The USA (2006 UK 16-track 2-LP set pressed on 180gram VINYL, recorded in France in 1969 this session features just Hooker himself, on the title track he describes in detail, the joy he knows he will feel onthe return to his homeland - after this momentary ray of sunshine, things soon return to more familiar climes with the bleakness of 'T.B. Is Killing Me' & the despair of 'When My First Wife Left Me', with the addition of 6 bonus cuts, thisis both an excellent introduction into the sultry, menacing world of Hooker & a vital addition for his hardcore fans)
