documenting the history of the country from the 1880s through to the
six day war & beyond, featuring the voices of David Ben Grurion,
Moshe Dayan, Abba Eban, Levi Eshkol, Teddy Kollek, Golda Meir,
Itzhak Rabin, Edwin Samuel, Mayer Weisgal, Yigael Yadin & others. It
also ncludes on the spot recordings of the six day war - sounds of
battle, Rabbi Shlomo Goren & Israeli soldiers praying at the Wailing
Wall, Chaim Weizmannat,The United Nations & other historic events.
To accompany all of this, there is a selection of the music of Israel:
Hatikvah, Jerusalem Of Gold, music of the Israeli Army Band &
authentic folk songs. Both discs come in a textured pasted box with
breakdowns of the content of the disc & notes on the speakers inside.
The box itself shows a fair bit of shelfwear with some splitting at two of
the corners & a little scuffing, but the vinyl is immaculate. A nice copy
of this historic selection at an advantageous price!)
