A FEW OF THE MOST RECENT ITEMS WE WANT...

JIMI HENDRIX Axis: Bold As Love (Rare original 1967 UK first issue 13-track MONO vinyl LP with A1/B1 matrices, front laminated gatefold picture sleeve with internal flipbacks, complete with the all important & incredibly rare fold-out orange lyric/poster insert!)
See 'More Info' for further details & condition on this superb rarity...

Tracklisting: Both mono and stereo mixes of Jimi's first two albums were made by Jimi, Chas Chandler, and Eddie Kramer at Olympic Studios in 1967. Final stereo mixing for the album was done on October 31st and November 1st, 1967. Chandler and Kramer completed a mono mix of the album on November 2nd, 1967. There are noticable differences between the two mixes that make this MONO version extremely special to collectors: EXP is shorter without the extended feedback at the end and the vocals are louder. Castles Made Of Sand features a different vocal performance. One Rainy Wish has a slightly different ending. There are other subtle differences too across the entire album as a result of the separate mixing to mono as opposed to merely combining the stereo tracks. Condition :- The Ernest J. Day gatefold picture sleeve is a crisp example with deep, rich colours, secure internal flipbacks, & clear spine. The outside laminate is nice & clean with just the very light laminate stretch at the edges with age. This is a nice one owner example & comes with very low mileage. The edges reveal little sign of wear. You would have to get the magnifying glass out to identify the very lightest of chipping to the laminate in a few spots around the edge. The inside panels look amazing & there is just a tiny 's' scribbled in pencil to one inside corner which does nothing to betray its beauty. An Excellent example. The original poly lined inner bag is present & correct. The orange lyric/poster insert is actually the rarest component of this first press package. It is so often missing. Here we have an Excellent example of it, with nice & clean panels & off white on the back with no writing or tears & just the lightest spot of creasing from handling over the years. So far, so good! But it gets better... The heavyweight vinyl is an absolute beaut. We have play tested both sides & can confirm Excellent playback with little in the way of any surface noise between tracks & no hiccups. The black & silver labels have no writing or tears, just some spindle marks by the centre hole to show play [who didn't play this masterpiece?!]. The matrices in the run-outs are machine stamped & end A1/B1. Do be sure to play this classic album on a mono setting as this eliminates surface sounds, of which there is very little. A couple of faint wispy hairlines can not be felt & there is no distortion [other than what comes from Hendrix & his dirt box!]. We would grade this clean example a healthy EX/EX-. All in all, we consider this an Excellent copy of the classic & legendary second Hendrix album, more than respectable & complete with the rare insert. One previous owner first press copies like this don't come much better! Tracklisting :- 1. EXP 2. Up From The Skies 3. Spanish Castle Magic 4. Wait Until Tomorrow 5. Ain't No Telling 6. Little Wing 7. If Six Was Nine 8. You've Got Me Floating 9. Castles Made Of Sand 10. She's So Fine 11. One Rainy Wish 12. Little Miss Lover 13. Bold As Love
THE PIONEERS Longshot (1969 UK first press 12-track mono LP on the rough textured white & orange Trojan label, named after & opening with their big smash hit, Long Shot (Kick The Bucket), front laminated picture sleeve. The cover is Excellentwith vibrant colour & just a small corner crease & minor paper mark on the back. The vinyl has been professionally cleaned & grades Excellent, with merely a few faint paper scuffs not affecting play. Very late for a mono, & a superb example from the Jamaican chartbusters! TBL103)

Tracklisting: A1 Long Shot (Kick The Bucket) A2 Caranapo A3 Black Bud A4 Long Up Your Mouth A5 Bring Him Home A6 Mother Ritty B1 Poor Rameses B2 Samfie Man B3 Belly Gut B4 Lucky Side B5 Trouble Dey A Bush B6 Boss Festival
MORRISSEY Into The Art Of Morrissey - Peepholism (Extremely rare 1994 UK first issue 168 page hardback book by Jo Slee. A delight for any Smiths fans with complete pictorial discography which includes anecdotes, photographs, artwork and more. Nowlong out of print and so very hard to find. This is a beautiful item of memorabilia with stunning images and artwork that is regarded by many fans as the Smiths Bible, compleye with the dust cover)
