A FEW OF THE MOST RECENT ITEMS WE WANT...

CHARLES MINGUS The Black Saint & The Sinner Lady (Late 60s US issue of the 1963 6-track stereo LP, a modern jazz classic & Mingus' magnum opus of multi-layered & far-reaching genius. This is the black label edition with red rim & multi-coloured Impulse! box logo, with 'Stereo' & 'RVG' machine stamped in the run-outs, housed in a thick heavyweight pasted & front laminated gatefold sleeve with catalogue inner. This rarity was obtained from a one previous owner collection. Both the cover& vinyl are virtually near mint. There is just a little lift to the laminate on the back by the spine [no splits] & just a tiny 'ding' in one of the bottom edges. A beautiful & stunning Excellent example of the cover. The vinyl is equally remarkable. The labels are near mint & the vinyl reveals minimal evidence of play at all. On close inspection there are just a few small paper scuffs, barely noticeable, not affecting play. Recommended IMPL8019)

Tracklisting: A1 Solo Dancer: Stop! Look! And Listen, Sinner Jim Whitney! 6:20 A2 Duet Solo Dancers: Heart's Beat And Shades In Physical Embraces 6:25 A3 Group Dancers: (Soul Fusion) Freewoman And Oh This Freedom's Slave Cries 7:00 Side Two - 17:52 B1 Mode D - Trio And Group Dancers: Stop! Look! And Sing Songs Of Revolutions! B2 Mode E - Single Solos And Group Dance: Saint And Sinner Join In Merriment On Battle Front B3 Mode F - Group And Solo Dance: Of Love, Pain, And Passioned Revolt, Then Farewell, My Beloved, 'Til It's Freedom Day
MICHAEL CHAPMAN Millstone Grit (1973 UK 8-track stereo LP, also starring Keef Hartley & engineered by John Kongos, closing with 'Expressway In The Rain', picture sleeve. The sleeve shows just a little light shelfwear with minor discolourationin places on the mostly white back & the vinyl remains in excellent condition with few signs of play SML1105)

Tracklisting: 1. Firewater Dreams 2. Sea of Wine 3. New York Ladies 4. Champion 5. Sundamental 6. The Hero Returns 7. Wellington the Skellington 8. Expressway in the Rain
QUEEN Hammer To Fall (Ultra rare 1984 UK 7" vinyl single with an intact four prong centre, also including Tear It Up, within the magnificent WITHDRAWN 'live' glossy picture flapback sleeve. The flipbacks are square at the top and cut at angle on the bottom, the same as the 12" version. This example remains in a fantastic condition with minimal wear, whilst the vinyl is in 'near as new' condition with very little evidence of play. A oustanding genuine copy now very hard to findQUEEN4)
See more details for information on why it was withdrawn...

Tracklisting: It was always falsely reported that this sleeve was withdrawn at the request of Brian May, however it turns out not to be the case! Brian stated on his own website in early 2007 in response to a letter asking why he requested the withdrawal of this sleeve that in fact he didn't request the sleeve be withdrawn - he actually preferred it but the record company felt that the sleeve was misleading and that the public would believe the song to be a live recording so the sleeve was withdrawn at the request of EMI. Woolworths failed to receive the recall notice and they continued to sell the withdrawn sleeve for up to 5 days before their stocks ran out. The sleeve has been counterfeited over the years and most are easy to spot as the vinyls on the bootlegs are usually coloured. Usually the black vinyl counterfeits have the word cassette mis-spelt on the back with just one 's' Needless to say, this is NOT a counterfeit! 1. Hammer To Fall 2. Tear It Up
