A FEW OF THE MOST RECENT ITEMS WE WANT...

DAVID BOWIE The Rise & Fall Of Ziggy Stardust & The Spiders From Mars (Rare archive quality 1972 first UK pressing 11-track vinyl LP, with 'Titanic/Chrysalis' credit on the labels indicating a true first issue, matt picture sleeve with illustrated lyric inner. This original pre-dates the Mainman contract & as such has no reference to Mainman anywhere on the sleeve or record label SF8287)
See 'More Info' for full details on the background & condition of this rarity...

Tracklisting: Every track on Ziggy Stardust & The Siders From Mars sounds like it was pulled from the rock 'n' roll bible. The album created a mythology that reached beyond the Chuck Berry folklorisms of the everyday rocker to create a new type of rockstar. With Ziggy, Bowie created a viable alter-ego to descend onto the planet and wreak havoc on rock's fertile soil and in doing so, he created the most original rock creation since the music's inception 20 years before. Musically, the album was as inspired as Ziggy's persona. Mick Ronson's snarling guitar evoked the triumphant power of the late '60s guitar heroes, but added a flash so dynamic fans knew why the Spiders were labelled 'glitter rockers'. History & Condition This first issue pre-dates the Mainman contract and as such there are NO Mainman references or logos anywhere on the sleeve or record label. There is a logo on the rear of the sleeve with the text 'A Gem Production' The matrix numbers in the run out groove are: BGBS 0864 -1E & BGBS 0865-2E The black & white lyric inner is in great condition, with just a little creasing at the edges and a very small tear in the top edge. The cover shows just the lightest signs of spine wear and is otherwise in superb condition. The label is the original thick orange glossy Victor label, in excellent condition with only a little foxing, and the vinyl itself is the thick & strong pressing, unlike many later pressings which used Dynaflex flexi vinyl. It is also beautifully shiny with no surface marks. The vinyl itself plays perfectly with no crackles, scratches or jumps of any sort. Visually it is clean with barely any signs of play. Glorious! Tracklisting :- 1. Five Years 2. Soul Love 3. Moonage Daydream 4. Starman 5. It Ain't Easy 6. Lady Stardust 7. Star 8. Hang on to Yourself 9. Ziggy Stardust 10. Suffragette City 11. THE SUNDOWN PLAYBOYS Saturday Nite Special (Rare 1972 UK 7" vinyl single with intact push-out centre, also featuring Valse De Soleil Coucher, picture sleeve with lyrics printed on the reverse. The vinyl shows very little sign of play with just a couple of light surface scuffs to show for its forty years. A nice copy at an advantageous price APPLE44)
THE PRODIGY Get Off My Land Tour '97 (Rare 1997 UK large sized crew only black shower resistant, lined double breasted unisex jacket manufactured by Cobles, full button up front with black plastic buttons with an anchor logo and two waist pockets.
