|After achieving minor success with various bands in the early 60's it wasn't until he joined the Jeff Beck Group at the end of 1966 that he began his climb to stardom. With The Faces he moved up another gear but it was with his third solo album, 'Every Picture Tells a Story' that he became a household name. Stewart incorporated some disco into his music for 1978's number one single 'Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?', which went on to become a dance floor classic. During the 80's Rod continued to release albums to mixed reviews but his fan base remained strong. In 1993 Stewart reunited with Ron Wood to record an MTV Unplugged concert returning him to a more acoustic-based sound. Since then he has released the critically acclaimed American Songbook albums which took him back to his love of tunes from the early part of the last century.
