cyclops

Initially thwarted as a songwriter by the presence of Lennon and McCartney, George quietly grew steadily both as a musician and a song writer. Writing a string of absolute classics that towards the end of the Beatles career matched anything the big two were offering up. His first solo record following the group's 1970 breakup, 'All Things Must Pass' and the accompanying single 'My Sweet Lord' had the distinction of being the first solo recordings by any of the Beatles to top the charts following their breakup. Subsequent Harrison albums from the 1970s into the '80s always had an audience, but none really hit the mark. Thrust again into the limelight of Beatlemania in the 90's with the release of the Anthology it renewed George's enthusiasm and spurred him on to making what was to be his final album 'Brainwashed' which many consider to be his best work since his 1970 debut. With over 40 years of music to choose from there is no shortage of back catalogue rarities, a mazing memorabilia and quality collectibles all available right here in our specialist George Harrison Collectors Store.
